- Immediately report any malfunction to appliances, doors, locks, windows, faucets, toilets, baths, etc. to the customer service department, so that prompt repairs can be made. Only emergency repairs will be made on weekdays after 4:30 pm, and only emergency requests will be addressed on weekend days and University observed holidays.
- In many cases, such as fire or theft, it is easy to recognize an emergency. For our purposes, we define an emergency as an unexpected and quickly continuing condition that if not immediately repaired will promptly cause further and continuing damage to the residence.
- Examples of emergencies: Complete loss of electricity; complete loss of water; water leak on supply line (not faucet); no heat when the outside temperature is 55 degrees Fahrenheit or below; no cooling when the outside temperature is 89 degrees Fahrenheit or above.
